The Fashion Project

A project for the fashion-conscious, modern, modest woman. A low-tech, unprofessional photographic exploration of life's changes as we come to accept the path we are meant to take, and what we wear along the way.

A New Style

Posted by Unknown |

I thought it would be nice to try something a little different. Actually, this style is very similar to how most girls wear a pashmina, with one principal difference. Instead of bringing the scarf under the chin tightly, you keep it loose, and then pin it back. This is actually much more comfortable, and gives a lot of chest coverage. I like it because I find that when I pin or tie a scarf behind the head and then bring it under the chin, it restricts the movement of the head somewhat. At least, it does for me. You can see how to do this look in this tutorial by Yaz the Spaz:

If for some reason this video isn't working, then you can find it at this link: VIDEO

So, I tried it out with my favorite scarf lately, a Moroccan-style striped viscose scarf. It's actually a little too cold to wear this one, but I still really like it and can't stop wearing it!
