The Fashion Project

A project for the fashion-conscious, modern, modest woman. A low-tech, unprofessional photographic exploration of life's changes as we come to accept the path we are meant to take, and what we wear along the way.

Cheetah Print and Red

Posted by Unknown |

I was feeling a little daring my last week at work, so I decided to mix it up and wear two things I almost never wear- animal print and red. The scarf is extremely huge. It is twice as wide as a normal pashmina, but it's super light and thin, so I folded it in half long-ways, then wrapped it. It isn't especially long, but it's long enough to do several styles with. The only thing I have to watch about it, is that I need to make the style tight to my neck, or it puffs out like a lion's mane!

This time, I pinned the scarf to the sides of my head (as I usually do) with one side about chest-length, brought the long end around and over my head, then tied the free end to the dangling end, which gave good coverage across the chest, and kept the scarf from being too poofy.

After tying the ends, I put a button brooch over the knot.

I got a pretty flower from my sweetie that morning! So I put it in my hijab <3
