Al Nisa Haul & Review

Posted by Unknown |

I recently came across this website called http://alnisahijabs.com/ It's based in the U.K. and has a selection of hijabs, as well as arm covers, volumizing flower clips, and undercaps. I heard about it from a You Tube user who did a review of the items she purchased, and that got me interested in the site. I went there, and found a nice selection of plain pashminas, which I have been searching out for a long time. Every other site I went to was inevitably out of stock of at least three of the colors I wanted, making the purchase not worth the time for me, since I live in Japan and have to pay dearly for international shipping. If I can't buy at least five items, then I don't bother.

From left to right: brown satin underscarf, gold satin underscarf, plain pashminas in green, mid-blue, coffee, aqua blue, salmon pink, lilac, deep berry, free gift!

Al Nisa company was very easy to deal with. The owner emailed me about my order, and emailed me to tell me when my order shipped. It took almost two weeks to get here, but that wasn't her fault since this is the busiest season at the Japanese Post Office, and everything takes a week longer than usual. I opened my package to find not only the two undercaps and seven plain hijabs I ordered, but a free gift as well! They sent me a really lovely pashmina, which is the blue, red, and gold polka dot scarf on the bottom on the picture. I was really surprised and very pleased with it! Here is my quick review of the Al Nisa products:

Price: * * * * *
The prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the plain hijabs, which were only $6 each! They are also offering a holiday special of free shipping, and that includes international, so my shipping was in fact free!

Selection: * * * * 1/2
I hesitate here, wanting to give five stars, but holding back just because this website has a great selection of hijabs, more than most websites out there, but not as much as a select few. So I'm going with 4 1/2 which is still very good. I was especially happy with the selection of plain colors.

Wearability: * * * * *
Naturally, I was expecting the quality of the fabric to be average, since the price was so reasonable. I knew the material was viscose, so I didn't think it would be very thick. But I was happy to discover that it is completely opaque, and quite soft. I wore one this afternoon, and it was nice and comfortable against the sides of my face. It was also very light. I wrapped it twice around my head, and barely noticed it at all. I have really thin hair and sensitive scalp, so it's rare for me to be able to wear a full-sized pashmina on my head and wrap it around twice. This scarf is a good choice if you don't like the weight of a large scarf, but want the coverage. I can't speak for the printed pashminas, but the plain viscose ones are comfortable.

If you are interested in taking a look at the website, then click on the link! Here it is one more time: Al Nisa Hijabs

There are a few more colors I want, so I'll be back there soon!

Thanks for this review, some of my favourite online hijab stores are in the UK and shipping to Canada is never worth it for me. I was looking for a good shop with free shipping so this is perfect, thanks again!
