The Fashion Project

A project for the fashion-conscious, modern, modest woman. A low-tech, unprofessional photographic exploration of life's changes as we come to accept the path we are meant to take, and what we wear along the way.

Weekend Green and Pink

Posted by Unknown |

I was hanging out mostly at home today, but felt the need to dress up a little... just a little. Then company came over, and the 10-year old daughter of the guests was very impressed with my hijab style, and asked to draw my picture. I think the rendering is pretty accurate!

Looks just like me, doesn't it? She even got the belt!
(PS- that's my first name in Japanese.)

Thanks a lot! Well, to answer your question, Japan was kind of a spur of the moment decision that turned out to be fate. I met my husband here and began my journey to Islam. I'm not sure why I came exactly, but I'm grateful I did!

You (she) went to Japan to teach English and get out on your own. You have a very "influential" family, and it didn't surprise anyone that you went as far away as Asia to get out on your own. Adventure called! (I am her bf, still in the US)
Love the drawing! Love the fashion!
