Finally, I have gotten around to posting about this! About a month ago, I was very fortunate enough to win a fabulous scarf from Tie Rack from 3fs blog contest! I was very excited to win because I never win anything (not since a raffle in 3rd grade maybe). The scarf is completely lovely, but a little short, so I found that the best way to wear it was tied around my neck, rather than trying to bring it around in the usual way, because then it was a bit short in the back. I've seen Turkish square scarves wrapped this way, and I think it worked pretty well.
The challenge with wearing it this way was finding a top that not only matched the color, but finding one with a collar high enough to cover without wearing another top under it, and that wasn't too tight that I have to wear something over it. It is summer, after all. Fortunately, I had just the thing in my closet! Good thing I kicked my previously unjustified hatred of turquoise! Plus I employed the magic of the Maysaa band snood. God, I love that thing. How did I ever live without one?
(Oh yeah, I'm also wearing a pair of beige arm sleeves. Another must-have.)
The other major plus of this ensemble is, I got to wear my most favorite wedge heels! These things are monstrously high compared to anything else I own, but I just had to have them! Maroon, turquoise, dark brown, yes!!!! (Probably don't need to mention this, but they are also the more expensive heels I own, even more than my boots!)
