I don't have much to talk about, blog-wise... I'm mostly spiraling along two trains of thought...
Major Disappointment #1:
I ordered about $60 worth of square scarves from an online hijab store on July 5th, and they still haven't arrived. I waited 2 1/2 weeks, and then was out of the country, and when I got back I discovered the package still hadn't come. I contacted the store a week ago, and they still haven't gotten back to me. It's been almost 2 months. I ordered from them once before to the same address, and the package arrived that time in 5 days. So, I don't get it. I'm incredibly disappointed because I didn't get my scarves, and the shop has the most amazing selection of scarves that I will be majorly bummed if I can't shop there anymore because of this. I can't just lose $60 for nothing, so I don't know what to do about it :(
Minor Disappointment #2:
I've been waiting (and so has everyone else, I know) for the Pearl Daisy website to go back up. I did all my pre-Eid shopping and chose what I wanted to buy, and then when the time came to place my order, the website was down. And it's been down for the last week. Then, everyone said it was back up and I checked, and it worked for about 5 seconds, and then it was down again. And I just know when it finally works for me that everything I want is going to be sold out. Such is my luck!
Anyway, I'm finished complaining now. No one really cares about my scarf problems, I know, but if you can't tell your blog, then who can you tell?
On another note entirely, here is a cute outfit I wore to combine two hot colors- fuchsia and turquoise. It's the scarf that brought them together. And since the scarf is huge, I was able to drape it low over my long-sleeve t-shirt and put a little knot in the side. You know, for fun.
As a side note, I wore this outfit to the head office of my dispatch company in order to get my quarterly review from the schools where I work. I was very pleased to find out that I received an "above average" report from all three schools, and the owner of my company complimented me on my "cheerful and colorful" scarf. That was a good day.

I Need Something....
Buy it here! Some of these shops I have ordered from myself, and some I haven't but have heard good things about. If you have used a shop, then please let me know so I can give it a star rating!

Because: HUGE selection (over 1,000 scarves), fast and reasonably-priced international shipping. Has everything a beginner would need, and is always getting new products, including Mona and Kuwaiti hijabs.

Seems to have a good selection of Al-Amira and Spanish-style caps, as well as some interesting bonnets and scarves.

A nice selection of modest clothing, including jilbabs, tops, cardigans, and maxi dresses. Also hijabs of all types. Offers a monthly contest for a free hijab.

Good selection of reasonably-priced hijab scarves, a wide selection of full-coverage underscarves (called Covering Bandannas on the site), bonnets, and the "bulkyjab," a generously-sized scarf for full coverage with lots of fabric to play with. Order within the UK only, because their international shipping rates are outrageous.

Newly launched modest clothing line by hijabi Hana Tajima-Simpson. A basic collection, but bound for great things. Basics of each item your wardrobe requires- skirts, trousers, polo tops, snood caps, dresses. Pre-ordered items shipped quickly, and were very high quality.

It'll come to you soon, dear. $60 is a lot! I 'll make lots of dua for you.
You are creative with the little knot on your side. Much better if you could shape it into a rose. Whatever it is, you are simply gorgeous! :)
That's so nice of you, Ati! And thanks to both of you for the kind wishes! I hope they come true!
Very pretty scarf. hope youve got the scarves or a refund, if not, inshallah soon
