In the course of my manic online window shopping frenzy, I came across this really nice website called Apothica. There are tons of brands on the site that I've never even heard of before, some quite edgy and interesting.
Some advantages to using the Apothica site to shop are:
*There are lots of options, and it is easy to compare prices and styles
*They list the ingredients for each product, which makes it easy for discerning shoppers or those with allergies
*The categories are easy to find and jumping from one to the next doesn't cause the site to slow down
*There are a wide variety of products, including makeup, skin care, fragrance, home accessories, and even candles
I also liked that it there were tags at the top of the menu for sales, new arrivals, and gift ideas, so if you don't know where to start than it certainly helps. The site also has a 30-day return policy and free shipping over $49.
One brand in particular I want to try out is called Too Faced. It's kind of like Urban Decay, except it focuses more on everyday looks, which I liked. It's a bit pricey, but there are some nice palettes for not too much money. I really liked this one for example:
Glamor To Go II $19.30 (on Apothica.com). A lovely set of eye shadows, blushes, and a foundation, this kit gets you through anything and fits right in your purse. For those who have seen my other post about makeup, I obviously favor versatile palettes, and this one is basic, fun, and not too hard on the wallet!
If you have the inclination to do some online shopping, I recommend checking this site out, it's one of the better sites I've found for comparing brands and prices, and is very easy to use.
