The Fashion Project

A project for the fashion-conscious, modern, modest woman. A low-tech, unprofessional photographic exploration of life's changes as we come to accept the path we are meant to take, and what we wear along the way.

Okay, so, I already have a bunch of pictures I've been taking, and I guess it doesn't make sense to "spread them out" over time, since by the end of the weekend it's likely I'll have taken more, and thus have more to catch up on, leading to depression and demotivation likely to result in my giving up in a pool of self-loathing and disgust. Not good.

This is my profile photo right now, but that is likely to change any time. Don't you just love bright colors in geometric patterns? This has got to be my favorite scarf so far. It's so smooth and light, perfect for summer. I barely even felt it. I wore it to my school (first time I've done that, very nerve-wracking), and got several compliments on it. In fact, a few students said that it suited me. *Phew* Why was I worried again?

Living in another country can be a challenge, but living in another country and adhering to a mode of dress that is both widely unseen and visually tied to a particular culture and religion not your own is, to say the least, incredibly challenging.

I am attempting to balance out the transition by incorporating the head scarf into my normal business attire (and of course, casual day off attire), keeping it modern and light.
