The Fashion Project

A project for the fashion-conscious, modern, modest woman. A low-tech, unprofessional photographic exploration of life's changes as we come to accept the path we are meant to take, and what we wear along the way.

Fun Style

I was cruising YouTube a few days ago, and came across this awesome tutorial made by Waida in Malaysia. She is very creative and has a few different video tutorials on ways to wrap a light-weight chiffon scarf. These types of scarves are perfect for summer time and hot climates, and since I'm in both, I'm all about it! Here is my attempt at a style called "Headband Style":

The thing I really like about this style is the crossed bonnet caps in the front. I am wearing a white cap sideways, with a black cap on top of it. I thought it would be really hot to wear it that way, but actually it was quite comfortable. I also put a little fabric poofball on the back of my head to give it some shape. If you have thick hair, then that wouldn't be necessary.

If you dig it, you can see the video here. I found the style of the tutorial very easy to follow. Check out Waida's blog too, because she sells caps and scarves that are quite beautiful! I know I'll be ordering some for summer!

Hi.. glad to stop by in your blog. I love your button-broache idea. Can I steal the idea, please? ;)

Go for it! I just glued a safety pin to the back of it, and it became a brooch!
