In honor of my 50th post, I have decided to do a Trade Away! It's like a giveaway, except instead of me giving away something, I will trade something. Here are the rules:
I have posted pictures of the 7 items I want to trade. They all come together. So if you are interested in these items, then all you have to do is:
-Email me a picture and description of whatever items you want to trade. I am most interested in long scarves, square scarves, tube undercaps, lace undercaps or headbands, and brooches. These items can be new, like-new, antique, or gently used. (Just please don't send something with frays or holes or stains!)
-After considering all the trade "offers" I will choose the "winner" on November 22nd (the day after the end of Hijabi Fashion Week, FYI).
-If you win, then you must email me your shipping address within 24 hours, and be able to ship your trade to me within 3 days. I will post your items to you as soon as I get your shipping address.
- You don't have to be a subscriber to my blog to participate, so please spread the word to friends and family! The Trade Away is open to sisters living in any country.
-You do not have to model the items, but please take clear pictures!
The items up for trade are seven brand new, never worn al-amira hijabs bought in Bangladesh. The hijabs are olive green, cream, chocolate brown, pure black, baby blue floral, candy pink floral, and navy blue with embroidered edging. The four solid color hijabs feature matching sequins along the front.
All the hijabs are soft and stretchy, shimmery polyester, except for the navy one, which is cotton. The navy hijab also comes with a matching tube underscarf. I have a couple other hijabs made of the same material, and they are very light and comfortable. There is nothing at all wrong with them, except that I don't really like al-amira style, and prefer to wear pashminas or square scarves.
All the hijabs have a lovely drape and wonderful chest coverage. They are also light enough to be tucked into the collar of a shirt or jacket, and many times I've shortened them by adding a brooch or accessory on one side. The colors can go with pretty much any wardrobe, and would make a great gift for a new hijabi!
(Please note undercaps worn in the pictures are not included.)
Email pictures and descriptions to: popcicles.edge at gmail dot com. Thank you and good luck!
