PLAY!
This look plays with the new pashmina wrap I'm developing. I love those thick, long, lovely pashmina scarves, but my poor delicate hair cannot handle being wrapped up in them. Since winter is well on it's way, there are more and more of those scarves available in the shops around here, so now I don't even have the excuse of needing to order them online. Surprisingly, I found this lovely piece in a train station stall! Isn't that unreal?
I've been adapting a look I saw on on StyleCovered (where else?), where the scarf is only wrapped around the head once, and then put around the neck. The pashmina Hana uses is very short, so the ways I deal with that is by making the "short" end longer (which gives more chest coverage anyway), bringing the long end back across the front, like I've done in this photo, or by bunching it up and pinning it to my shoulder with a brooch. I also give volume to the top layer by adding several folds. The tension of the fabric around the neck holds them in place.
This style looks like it would be really stuffy and heavy, but it was actually very comfortable, especially with the biting chill in the evening air recently.
